About Me
Hey! You can call me Mae or Darius. I'm 17, in my last year of high school.
When I graduate I hope to become an audio engineer. Being a web programmer wouldn't be too bad, either, but my main aspirations lie in music. I originally wanted to be a musician, but quickly realised how low it scores in job security and decided on audio engineering instead. I just want to be involved in the creative process in any way I can.
Apart from music, I'm also passionate about books and movies. I have two whole bookshelves in my room and a massive backlog of movies in my bookmarks. When I was 13-14 I also wrote stories, mainly about romance and school. I really hope my grade 7 and 8 crushes don't ever find them. For your enjoyment, I may as well post them on this site because...why the hell not.
I first discovered programming in 5th or 6th grade, when I tried making a program in C++ for a crush. I never gave it to her...honestly I don't think I even finished it.
Going back to the stories I wrote, you'll find that many of them star a main character called "Phoebe". She is basically me but...female. I figured the name was cool (it would have been my name had I been afab) and well...girls are cool too. Fast forward 4 years and that decision is one of the main reasons for me questioning my gender identity. I'm not really sure what I am right now. Some people say I'm genderfluid, and others think I could be a demigirl. This shit is so goddamn confusing. The femboy to trans pipeline is real!
You may be wondering why I decided to make this site in the first place. Well, today I was making a list of interesting Neocities websites and thought to make one of my own. I had a similar website but I honestly forgot about it.
